Default Shiny Wheels

If I coat my wheels in Zaino does it make them easier to clean ongoing? thinking of having them off the car this weekend to give them a good scrub and wondered if it is worth my while?

Hi AE

I usually polish or wax the alloys if I remember to do so.

They do come up shinier, and it seems to make them clean easier.

Then again, wheel cleaner does remove the wax after a few applications!

Yes they will stay cleaner! Just be careful when you have the wheels off. Don't leave the wheels topside or else they will fall over. Trust me, $300 later I got the wheel back.

Just use detail spray after washing. to keep them nice

AE When you take off the wheels, DO NOT LAY THEM ON THE FRONT SIDE. Even if you lay them on cloth. The lacquer is very soft and will mark.

Ian,

An application of Z2 on the wheels prevents the brake dust getting any grip on the wheels at all.

Makes them a pleasure to clean.

Noony.

Come on AE - you don't Zaino the wheels?

After a fulll waxing session - I use the applicator to wipe all the alloys with Z2 or Z5 - I get rid of the applicator after every session (anal I know)... once I buff the wheels - in the direction of the diamond cut! I then finish with some Z6. Brake dust? What brake dust? It never sticks! Even after a hard blast - it is no way as bad as without the polish.

Have any of you guys used the Zaino clear glass polish? Suberb stuff!
