Shortened reg plates...
Noticed quite a few people have 5 character reg numbers and have the shortened reg plates to accomodate this.
I think I am right in saying that these are totally legal if all the borders and spacing is correct but I can't find anywhere to get a set. I have been after some for AGES!
Where can I get some...?
Thanks.

I used a Dremel to shave down the borders on mine, making a standard plate into a 3/4, but with legal font and spacing.
If you ask a plate shop to work from the right side to left, you can even keep the BS serial number in the bottom right... if they place that high enough.

yes as long as the spacing is correct and you have the government aproved size border a small plate is 100% legal
you can make a plate smaller buy either shaving down a large plate or having less numbers and letters and then cutting the plate down in size
check you get the correct rules and regulations before you cut anything down though or you will be wasting money.
