As San2000 said, the unit gives out the occasional beep as I'm driving around which can be confusing, but I tested it on several local cameras and it picked them up well. I'm very happy with it and it appears to be well worth the price. Big thanks to Steb for arranging the GB.

Do you have to update the unit with Gatso positions from the internet or does it just detect them from some other means.
I want to hardwire the unit but be able to remove it if I park the car with the top off. Is it easily removed from the cradle and is the power feed plugged in or actually moulded into the unit.

I don't really like mine. It goes off all the time! I have to slow down only to notice a big red bus!
I've taken mine out. Will not be using it.
