In the FS section https://www.s2ki.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=826772

I thought this was cheap, but no. How's about this : http://belfast.gumtree.com/belfast/67/67313667.html

Looks like a JDM but a MY00 with 90k and new clutch!
I mean, how much is my car worth now!

More than likely a cat C or D damage repair.

I would hope so at that price. The fact the ad says readvertised due to timewaster would point me in that direction too

It sold for £3.5k and wasn't on the register.

Insurance premiums is what will kill these cars off. Mine has gone up 100% in a year and I'm old.

That was Northern Ireland, which I would guess is a factor. But generally people delude themselves as to what their cars are worth. I'd be suprised if I got £5K for mine, and that's with the engine, gearbox and clutch already replaced.

Well on average a car will lose 2k in depreciation a year and this will reduce as the car gets older. I think even if you lost 7k in that 5 and half years I would be chuffed.

There is no money is cars I'm afraid unless of course your a stealer
