Soft top replacement
Hi People
Picked up my first ever S2 on Saturday and completely amazed at how good it is.
Choose a 02 plate with 79K on the clock.
Car was in good condition with new rear tyres, disc's, pads and a oil service before I collected. Also got previous Honda service receipts (which is all good).
The only thing is there is some very very small marks on the cloth top!!
I opened the drivers door today and got a wet arm, which must have been rain water from Sunday night. Is it normal for water to gather in either the seals or the hood? It was not a great deal of water, but I have never owned a soft top before and don't really know what to expect?
If I was to replace to cloth top, can anyone recommed a company in London or SE and what the rough cost would be?
Must say, I'm so glad I now bought the Honda - it's fabulous and nothing like my old Civic Type R (which was a good car!!)
Thanks for your help in advance.
Please be gentle, this is my first time.

Hi Jimbo,
Yes, water will gather in the rain seals and drip into the car. You can solve this problem by greasing the rubber seals with Shin Etsu silicone grease. If you search the forum there are many threads which cover this. Shin Etsu is no longer available from Honda but you can still buy it from Ebay.
Monsoon car hoods is the best place to get a replacement hood.
Have a look at this thread...the GB is closed now but if you call them and speak to Tony you may be able to get one at the discounted rate of £667 fitted
