Default Sony head unit not working

Got new Sony head unit with built in iPod dock, including the auto leads adapter and patch lead. Spent while putting in it but nothing at all is happening, unit doesn't even switch on! Any ideas???

I have the same headunit, just plugged everything in and all was OK.

Which autoleads adapter did you get (Part Number)?

Also check the pins in the connectors, it is easy to push one out when you are putting them together.
