Space saver issues
Took a relative to the airport yesterday and had to remove the space saver to make enough room to fit a suitcase. It was the first time I'd seriously checked out the S's luggage carrying ability and came away v. impressed.
To the point:
1) Space saver says in big letters on the sidewall to inflate to 60 PSI. Is that right??? I checked the pressure and it only had 40 PSI. Should I bother inflating it to the recommended amount?
2) I'm going to run without a space-saver from now and instead carry a portable inflator and a can of spray gunk as the tyre weighs a fair bit and there's a usefully-large looking hole where the space saver lives. I know some people have fitted amps and other ICE gubbins in there, but has anyone considered extending it as 'boot space' with a fitted enclosure?
Cheers
Ted
