Hi Guys,

I desperately need to upgrade my front stock speakers - too much distortion with my new headunit!!

I have read the FAQs and it recommends 6.5" with a top mount dimension of 2". I do not want to alter the basket, so I was wondering what you guys have upgraded to. Any specific recommendations???

Hi,

I had to make some brackets to fit my Geneis Profile 16 speakers. They are 6.5" speakers but they would not match up with the holes for the old ones.
The tweeters simply replaced the old ones.

Didnt have to cut the honda brackets so I can put everything back to standard easily.

Speakers are amp'd and I've got a small sub. I ran new speaker cable as the honda stuff is as thin as my hair. Sounds terrific now!
Was quite a lot of effort, but well worth it.

Autoleads make a 10mm 6.5" speaker adapter available from Helfruads and the like. Used them on mine. Work well, but there is no protection to the rear of the speaker for water coming down the inside of the door.
