Default Split in window

My poor car is looking really battle scarred, it already needs a respray on most of it and I just don't have the money to do it

And now I have a small (about 1 inch) split horizontally in the middle of the plastic window :sigh: I don't think it's letting in water yet, but any suggestions on what to stick over it that won't look too hideous

I tried bonding one on the MX-5, without success.

It's too flexible.

You could put an S2KUK sticker over it, but even that's obvious.

You can get clear strong tape, we might have some somewhere - it's really strong and better than duck tape?

That would be the obvious solution but I refer the honourable gentleman back to the first sentence in my original post!

Jo that would be great if you have - thank you.

B - I have no idea what you are talking about - I'm just about to look it up on the web

Its basically a sheet of sticky back plastic

I used it for a temporary seal on Claires MX5 some years ago , ended up doing the job for over a year

fablon is like sticky back plastic, you can get patterns, colours, textures etc. If you can get it in clear then that would be ideal - give the window a thorough polish and you could potentially do the entire screen with one piece cut to size.. It should remain flexible I would have thought.

not sure if I have ever seen totally clear though. I once got some clear textured/etched for a bathroom window that worked very well to add privacy but obviously no good for your car

Got mine from B&Q
