why not just claim on the insurance for the hole caused by a slash and run....

 

I think a lot of insurance companies won't do convertable tops now. When I renewed with the same company a few years back, there was a change to terms and conditions leaflet in with the renewal pack and one thing was something to do with either not covering any damage to the top at all, or not covering the rear screen in a convertable top.

Can't remember which company it was and I guess it varies.
