My window no longer has a small split in it, it has a bl**dy great hole

I did the classic the other day, frosty, sun had been shining, had melted off roof over a few hours. Looked ok, put roof down, strange cracking sound. Not till I got to my mum's and put the roof up did I see the large crack and hole in the window Didn't even split in the same place.

I am now driving round with a very attractive green zigzag on the back . MrV is going to try the window tint to see if that looks better.

Will def be going for the full glass replacement when I get the roof replaced.

Sorry to hear that Carrie, hope you get it sorted.

I think I'm gonna be leaving my roof up until the cold weather is gone!

Sorry to hear that, I know exactly how you feel. Mine crack a few days ago.

I bought a complete soft top with the glass rear screen from the breakers and literally just finished installing it today.

6 hours job, I will post some pics later once I had a bit of rest.

Thanks, got to keep everyone happy.

Always hate the plastic window, but couldn't justify changing it before.

And it's great fun working on the car, it's amazing how well everything is designed and fits together. I really enjoyed it.

I liked the old one - it was tastefully horny without being rude! Not really a G-MILF man myself!

Back on topic, my replacement window cost (Honda part and Honda fitting)

If it's any consolation (which it probably isn't.....), older Boxsters seem to suffer from the same problem too.

I followed a V-reg one into the station car park this morning and noticed he had a ragged tear about 4-5 inches long in this rear plastic screen.
