Buy an Apexi RSM to de-limit the car. It's cheaper

I'm not to sure I changing the ECU will lift a speed limiter but the hks SLD will and so will an Apexi RSM I believe.I got my delimiter today in the post So hopefully I'll have it in by the weekend then it will be off to a private test track I know up north for a little test session

Spoon ECU will work well even with a decat and snorkel/filter.

It's a great bit of kit!

5. In the future if i fit after market headers and exhaust how will the new ECU manage
Both are designed to be used with their own aftermarket header / intake / decat pipe etc, so should be fine.

It's always worth doing a dyno run to check the AFR when you do extensive breathing mods though.

The J's ECU can be a bit different, as they are often much more custom. ie when you order one from J's, you tell them what mods you have and what fuel you use, and they select one of many pre mapped programmes to load onto the ECU.

TBH there isn't a lot of scope for adjustment between differnet breathing mods, so I think it's not that relevant, and not mucj will be gained or lost.
