Stalling at idle
Apologies, didnt really read / think about the post very well.
If the TPS isnt in the right range (under) it can cause it to stall. Extremely unlikely the TPS will have "moved" - although mine was out of voltage range and had never phsically moved. Maybe wrong from day 1.
MAP doesnt do much for the idle im told. I thought it did, but im told not. I still think catch cans are good for helping here though!
Dodgy idle can be a million and one things though, from vac leaks to faulty sesnors! Always a pain in the ass though!

Cable is bollox. (Not Mr., I mean)
The idle is controlled by a throttle bypass valve, located at the bottom of the TB.
I'm with SB on this - I bet it's all full of shit (like 1/2 the UK these days!).
Give it a thorough clean, before worrying about the solid state bits.

My 04 S has a wandering idle some times. It was me that started the "$hitty in there" thread SB refers to and boy is it

I'm hoping a can of Wynn's carb cleaner and a filter clean with sort it out!
to be honest I havnt had a good look at the set up yet as not had it long but the problem will be the idle speed control valve, I go to this problem alot although not on hondas (as i said they dont break down lol). U can normally remove it and clean it with carb cleaner they get caked up and stick. Should be a similer setup on the s. Dont touch your cable or tps or you will be going to the dealer to get it set back up as if altered can have bad effects on over run.
