Default Stalling problem

Well,

S2k spent another day at the dealer to investigate the stalling problem.
This time, thankfully, the car misbehaved on a diagnostic test run.

The dealer has been in touch with Honda UK who are having a meeting next week to decide what to do.
Apparently there HAVE been similar problems encountered on other s2ks, but only in Japanese spec cars.

The dealer told me that Honda are now wondering whether this could be a future problem is UK spec cars. I'm getting the distinct impression that Honda are beginning to worry about their product.

The Japanese cars have had the looming replaced, the diagnosis being an electrical problem.

The dealer is going to contact me next week with an answer as to what Honda suggest is done to my car to remedy the problem. It will then have to go in for repairs, making it the 7th warranty repair day in the 4 months I've had the car!!!

Oh well, stroll on

Froddy

Thanks for the tip, Hayd.

From what they were saying I suspect this is what they'll do.

How long did it take? Getting tired of driving Civic courtesy cars!!

Hi Froddy,

Not long. The car went in for this problem and for the deceleration buzz on the Friday morning and they dropped it off at work about 3.30pm.

What I have learnt is that there are certain dealers who know the S2000 and others that do not. Chiswick Honda is a massive dealership and they look after lots of S2000s. Honda UK told me to go to them.

If you like, send me a PM and I will give you my name, reg no and telephone number. Then you can refer to me at the dealership if you like.

Anyway, I hope you get it sorted.

Hello to you all. I wanted to tell you that I just got my MAP sensor replaced and that here in Greece HONDA has a bulletin for this . My car runs much better now and I no longer have any kind of hesitation . Use this info and try to get a new Map as that seems to be the most common cause of hesitation and stalling .
