A friend asked me whether the push to start button on an S2000 is meant to light up ... or just the words get backlit ... or nothing ...
I couldn't remember from my time owning an S2000.
Can anyone enlighten me .... I have tried the search and it said the words are lit up ... but then another post said it isn't ???
Can anyone advise ....

Yes it is - there are two bulbs inside it. One backlights the switch and one backlights the startbutton writing

Nah it's dead easy
It would take me about 40 minutes from start to finish.

It's 3 screws to remove the ignition cowl
2 nuts to drop the steering wheel / column.
2 hidden screws to detach the binnacle from the dash.
Remove the upper half of the cowl.
Unclip the binnacle, pull the wheel down and the binnacle slips forward at which point you can unplug the starter button, audio controls and heater controls + fog light switch.
Remove binnacle from car at which point you can get to the starter button to change the bulbs,
Refit and job done. I've done this at least a dozen times now and it really is an easy job.

Hehe when you've had the dash in bits as many times as i have changing LEDS to get the polarity right, you get quite adept at it
