Default Starter motor location?

Sorry for dumb ass question but where is the starter motor located?

Also is solenoid part of the starter motor or is it a seperate part? need to know if buying one will solenoid come with motor?

Looking at the manual it looks like it's behind the alternator (the manual says to remove the alternator to get at it), and shows the solenoid and motor as two seperate parts.

It looks pretty simple to get in and out.

If you undo the top bolt on the alt, you can slide a socket with extension piece in and get to the starter.

It's bolted to the bell housing under the rear of the intake plenum.

Best bet is to get someone to feed the socket in, and have someone under the car positioning it.

One of the bolts is a nightmare to get to, as the starter itself is in the way.
