Default Strange....

......I go for weeks and weeks without seeing another s2k, then the one I do see is a rare beast. I was driving through Caterham ('home of the 7') and parked in the high street was a Spa yellow s2k. Japanese I guess - it was right hand drive, but no little Honda badge over the 'S2000' badges on the front wings. It looked very nearly new, and was for sale! No further details I am afraid.

As for Spa Yellow - no, not to my tastes at all!

there is no Honda badge on the wings? I thought all models just had S2000 only?

........yes, a quirk of UK cars is a small badge with the word 'Honda' above the S2000 badges on the front wings. I know that both US and Japanese cars do not have this additional 'feature'.

Do mainland European cars have this extra badge?

Who says we dont get great value for money in the UK!!

ok - I got it now - I can't believe that they do something in the detail like that - another thing to get if ever I import.

I saw somewhere that you can change the mph to km/h with a button in the dash - does UK spec have that?

..........yes, no probs with the MPH/KPH button on UK spec cars.

I have really scared some 'less spatially aware' people by runing with kph showing -

that's funny - actually with all the decibels coming from the engine - and sitting low in the car I bet you can give more than a few people a scare with that trick.

So apart from the warp speed button (where is it?) and the badges - what other bits does the UK RHD version get, I noticed headlamp washers - a fog light, titanium gear shift?

I think you have most of the 'UK (possibly EC) spec' differences there Kobe.

The hyperspace button (80 - 150 in less than a second!) button is on the lower right side of the instrument panel (next to the 'trip' button - hey-man.......)

The Titanium shift knob is a good addition to basic spec (IMHO), but the headlamp washers most certainly are not - the black 'warts' on the front bumper do nothing to help the cars clean lines, and if you hit the button with the hood down, you get a thorough drenching!

Something the UK car does not have, which US cars do, is cruise control. This is not something I miss (I had it on my 93 Prelude, and apart from scaring myself silly playing with it on crowded motorways, it was never used). I guess our roads are too twisty / crowded for cc to be an asset.
