Red face Strut brace clearance issue

Another post....

I've got an HKS Suction kit fitted (TDI Powertuning in Essex; top people) and when I came to mounting my MUZ strut brace I couldn't fit it because it was touching my shiny air intake tubing!

I don't wanna start bashing a groove into the air intake, anyone got any suggestions?

Ta.

P.S. Anyone else had any problems fitting MUZ's polished injector cover? It sucks, it leaves about 3mm to thread the bolt on! Gonna have to modify that shim...

It's a simple shim adjustment.

We have 2 different size shims because the stud length seems to vary slightly on the occassional car. It's close tolerances around that area so as little as a mm can make all the difference. Email me the precise length of yours when you get a moment and I'll see if I have any shorter ones here.

Can you not simply re-angle the HKS?

These things normally have angled elbows & bendy brackets.

Common problem with STB's and intakes including the OEM setup. As Muz says shim it or but the Cusco STB!

Glad someone has posted about TDI, I am looking at getting an intake from them and was wondering if anyone had used them.

Have had parts via them in the past but that's all.

G'day MUZ. I believe the shims I have are about 2mm thick. What other sizes do you have available? With Thanks!
(BTW; Front lower x-brace is the absolute truth! Its sorted out the steering so much, I have no problems with exceeding 200kph!)
