Default Newbie question, Strut tower brace?

I'm a little surprised that my S2000 didn't come with a front strut tower brace.
Was it supposed to? Even my GS-R had one stock.
I just want to make sure my car came with everything it was supposed to.

Thanks

Moving to S2000 Talk. When you want to know about installation or how it works or it's specs, come on back.

It doesnt come with one and honestly it doesnt do a thing. It makes a good support when your working on the car and thats about it, our chassis are already stiff enough.

Besides a nice place to lean on, it looks cool!

It doesn't come with one. You can put one on - but it's not necessary. I think an underbody cross-beam will be better anyways...do a search on x-brace

I got an STB in a package deal I bought off a friend for other S parts. While I was installing my new air intake I noticed the 4-5 inch wide I beam directly under the huge air handler box where the air filter is. This I beam is big and it would negate the need for any STB IMHO.

I still installed mine just because it looks nice but after discussing this with many preople it is really not much more than a cosmetic piece. An aftermarket (spoon) X brace under the car will help you out much more.
