Default Subtle switch location

Hi All,

I need to install a simple switch somewhere on the dash.

It needs to be within easy reach from the drivers seat, I was thinking somewhere around the steering column, but I don't really want to drill into the plastic to mount it.

I had thought about mounting the switch on a small plastic box and then securing this using velcro into the desired position.

Another thought I had was to use the 'Mute' button on the volume control panel. I have an aftermarket head unit and it doesn't work with the volume controls, so they are currently redundant. Does anybody know whether this is possible?

If not, does anybody have any suggestion of where I could mount my switch?

Thanks

Machine guns/rockets/lasers, ejector seat, Nitrous...

As for the headunit/volume control incompatibility, that can be fixed with some Autoleads connectors

As the above said it depends what you want to activate/deactivate with the switch to see how often you will use it in order to propose reachable positions while driving etc. Of course you can use the mute button but like Monkeybone said while to waist the button if you can fix the audio controls easy with Autoleads connectors

I'd put it in the little compartment thing in the middle bit... hate seeing aftermarket switches in sight

The switch is for nitrous, I am not really a fan of aftermarket switches so I was trying to think of a way to hide it or make use of one of the currently redundant buttons.
