on a related note Scorpion are making a HFC using a high temp 200 cell element used for turbo cars

given i take my lad in the SC car a fair bit i'm getting one of these to alleviate the melt risk and remove the stink

£300. which in theory is not that bad (i think berk are £250 but i dont know whether they are as heat resistant). I initally looked at the US where rally cars have to run cats and there you can buy a very high temp resistant race cat for $400-500 and then get pipes welded to that, for example this
http://vibrantperformance.com/catalo...oducts_id=2070
they even fit them at the back end of the car but you are talking very high EGT with turbo applications

i'm going to buy one as Scorpion are local so i can go over and beat the sh1t out of them with it if it fails. Then i can use the std cat i have spare for my NA car.

my wideband worked today which is odd. will do the petrol test on it tomorrow. in the meantime idle warm is 10.7.. assuming the gauge is reading ok

If your idle when warm is 10.7 then you are running richer than you would when on full boost!.

The smell must be horrific!

my wideband works for a few seconds but it is clearly not right and jumps up and down a lot before it finally reads constant full lean

as markforester said 10.7 does not sound right!

my new sensor turned up today so will get it fitted tonight

tbh I've only ever worried about WOT but it does seem rich.. I think my sensor is fubar though, it stops reading when it gets warm

Thats bad Nott... don't drive it if its on open loop as ECU will be either trying to lean the shit out of it causing damage or chuck ludicrous amount of fuel in causing damage..!
