All of my S2000s (99, 03, 07) have had the anti-tamper (round cornered triangle shape) bolts on the ECU. I thought all UK S2000s had them. There're easy to remove if you know how, no grinder required. You should have done a search on here, it's been covered quite a few times over the years.

There's the uncouth way - 'gently' hammer on a socket. Otherwise you can get sockets with push in pins that can fit over any shape bolt - which is what I have. Or the easiest way of all is to borrow the proper tool, if you have a friendly dealer
