I don't think he is very good at launching his car. Most of our runs are from a roll or from a normal standing start
how can you be bad at launching a 4x4?

rev, dump clutch, hold on...

Hmmm, on PS motorsports website and looking at the cooling mods but just searched for Brian's comments to back up what you said Leigh - Brians says the cooling modes don't have "much of an impact" unless you do the ECU. See here

The S3 has bad lag in 1st if you get wrong, it also bogs down easily. The best way to launch the S is to slip the clutch. However a new clutch in the S3 costs between

Its not a performance enhancement, if I build up enough enthusiasm to find the thread in our lovely search engine I will dig it out. The thread was raised several months ago concerning me installing a Mugen ECU and how it was important to install these components, but as an addedum he also commented that it would be recommended for any car to prolonge engine life.

The cooling mods have a big impact on the car , modded or stock. The biggest enemy to the S2k is heat you can spend thousands adding a few % to the BHP of the car but as soon as the engine gets hot the ECU retards the car.

Keep it cooler and you keep your BHP for longer, so look at this way the cooling mods don't give you any BHP but they save you a good 4+BHP ( Mugens own fig's) at the point
where the fans would normally come on

Ive got the SPoon setup on my pretty much Stock S ( airbox mod & Spoon Filter) the car no longer gets into the lethargic zone when working hard..

one of the choice mods that doesn't cost a lot
