Default Thinking of using DMS? Read this first.

I contacted them a couple of weeks ago about a decat pipe and was told that they would be getting some in at the weekend, it was a Tuesday when I contacted them, I then got a message on the Thursday saying that they had them in stock and culd send me one out immediately. I got back to him the following Monday asking for a paypal address he replied straight away so I sent the money over.

I messaged him on the Thursday saying I had yet to receive the part, he didn't message me back until midday Fridayt telling me that he hadn't sent it out because (insert bullshit excuse here) but had in the meantime been active on the forum. I explained that I had a dyno session booked for the Wednesday (that would be tomorrow) and I bought it thinking in good faith that I would have it for the weekend giving me plenty of time to fit it. He told me that it would be in the post on Monday and I would have it Tuesday and that I shouldn't worry as it only takes 15 minutes to fit.

I left it at that, regardless of whether it only takes 15 minutes to fit I work shifts and am currently at work so wouldn't have had time to fit it anyway. Just rang the wife as it hadn't arrived by 1pm when I left for work and it still hasn't arrived so I can only assume that it hasn't been sent yet.

I'm quite pissed off, I went to him as he is a forum trader so figured that the customer service would be good. If he had said that he wasn't going to be arsed to post it for over a week I would have gone elsewhere. Is this a regular occurance for this guy?

I have put in a Paypal dispute as I no longer want it, I'm due on the dyno tomorrow and I'll go to someone else for the decat now.

EDIT

In the wrong section could a mod please move this to the relevant board.

Dixon is in the process of moving premises so I should imagine everything is a bit hectic on his end at the moment. I have been waiting a month now for some bits! In the past he has always been very reliable for me though and never had any problems.

I've had to chase him for bits before, with sometimes delays of a few days, as well as pretty regular "no stock of Dixcels" problems.

Things have always turned up in the end.

Delivery time was pretty cruical on this hence me buying brand new from a trader, I figured the guy gets good press so I'd use him. In my opinion there is no excuse for such a poor level of service, I mean he was pretty keen to take the money and he knew about me being on the rollers and told me not to worry.

I wouldn't be pissed if I hadn't arrange dyno time, if you are moving premises and can't deliver then don't take the money or let the customer know prior to accepting so they can make their own mind up.

I knew I should have used Tegiwa.

Still waiting after 5 months for a password gear knob or credit back, messages Dixon many times but nothing.i will say that with other items money was taken straight away and the item turned up a few weeks later.I m sure once he s in the new place every loose end will be sorted , but with your stuff yes I would be pretty annoyed with the roller booking .

Me too, no interest in dealing with them after previous experiences
