Default Those damn car park flaps!

Obviously a fairly obscure question but a car park i use every day are putting these things in:

Those metal flaps (at the exit of a car park) that fold down when you drive over them - has anyone had any bad experiences with these...??!!

(baring in mind that i have stock suspension and a bumper lip)

I would guess it should be fine with your bumper lip.

I have to drive over 2 sets of Cattle grids twice per day. Ouch !
Cd skips occasionally, thats the only bummer.

Needless to say if you hit them at the right speed you can almost jump them. (eh brian ?)

I didn't think they needed cattle grids in the UK anymore?

Since I don't work at Rare anymore the only cattle grids I go over are on the local moorland roads

And yes, you can jump some of them ... sadly because the Sheep have been culled so you're not worrying about sheep in the road.

You mustn't drive on the Saddleworth Moors much Brian - I had to potter along over the tops to Huddersfield the other day as the roads were infested with the damn things! Ruined a normally great drive

I've already ground the paint off the underside of the bumper coming off a car park ramp badly joined to the level
