For those that have the megan tie rod ends - Were you able to get a cotter pin in the bottom thread? there is a castle nut up top, which went fine. but I currently have about 70 ft lbs of torque on the bottom nut and its only about flush with the bottom of the threads. The bottom nut squeezes a plastic spacer. Should I just tighten the crap out of it until the hard spacer deforms in order to stick the supplied cotter pins in the bottom?. it would prob take like 100 ft lbs to achieve. any wisdom is appreciated.

We did say don't go Megan route.... now you know why
IIRC I had to mess with the spacer rings too, I suggest turning down the lower one as its clearly too long, or find some tube and make a smaller ring.
Without a pin I suspect an MOT fail too.

It'll be OK.
I used one on the track for years, the rose joints held up quite well, extension never gave in, but its a risk with not knowing how good the QA is!
Another member (Ron?) suggested wrapping the whole thing in greased tape - as used on ships/boats/gas fittings - to keep the elements out.
I just used to lube mine with some PTFE liquid, every few weeks.

But I'm sure the rear toe arms had this same spacer config issue.
IIRC there were two sizes of spacer ring, and you 'can' get it to fit but you lose all that drop...
To keep oem angles (mostly) you only need the extension the same length as the drop you apply to the springs...
