toluene
Any one on here actually use it as an octane booster? Having a JDM I've just been reading about it here: http://www.vonkdevelopment.com/PDF/Octanbooster.pdf

Do a search on here for similar products, octane boosters etc. You want it for performance/mpg right? In a nutshell 'only if the stock ecu can take advantage of it'.
As dembo says, petrol is expensive enough without adding toluene.
Just stick with vpower which is 99ron, and don't bother with toluene as i doubt over 100ron it will make any difference.

Just stick with Tesco 99 RON, thats enough!
As in Tri-Nitro-Toluine.........AKA TNT!
You could run a can of BK44K through her that will clean the guts out. I use it once a year on the S and used it to advantage on loads of cars.

We do quite a lot of fuel testing for one of the major fuel companies, and also for different race/rally series, and definitely there is horsepower in different blends, and therefore no doubt octane boosters. But unless you i.e. the ECU, can tap into it there's not a lot of point on a road car engine.
