Also Mohair marks & creases easily, takes ages to dry when wet, and would not fold as flat as the OE.

I had a mohair replacement fitted. It looks and stays much darker than the OEM vinyl roof and you can put waterproofing on it so the water just beads off it.
It folds exactly as the OEM one does.
