I think the legal limit is 1.6 mm - but I could be wrong!

Change it when it needs changing Tread marker will be at 2mm, legal is 1.6mm

I used to change mine at the marker (S02s). I expect that the RE0xx will be fine until then.

I had my car serviced about a week after buying new Bridgestones (although they were S03's), and the recorded tread depth was 7mm. I imagine all bridgestone tyres have the same depth from new, just different compound, tread, etc, etc.

I wouldn't run rears on the S2K at any lower than 2 or 3mm... 2 is definitely pushing it in the winter.. although I suppose if you drove like a granny with a light right foot, you could get away with taking them right down to the legal limit - but it would take months at that rate, which is no fun at all, and what's the point for the sake of a couple of hundred quid and infinitely improved safety!

Had a 9,000 mile service on Monday, fronts are both 6mm, rears are both 5mm.

Does this make me a granny or not ?
