Default Trolley jacks

I'm about to have my car lowered about 30mm so I'll need to buy a new trolly jack with a low entry just wondering what everyone uses?

Low-entry Sealey 2.5 tonner

I estimate it'll cope with a 30mm better than your S will!

You can also use a couple of short planks (1" thick) to run the car wheels up on to increase ground clearance when using the trolley jack

I just used a length of pole to raise the car up mandraulically, then slide the jack in underneath

I really need a new jack

My Halfords POS won't fit under the car, so I have to use the OEM jack first. It then makes nasty creaking noises and I am quite concerned about it flipping up in my face, or collapsing and smashing the skirts!

Some long ramps would be nice too.

I have to use bits of timber or the OEM jack to start my trolley off, and my car is standard, well apart from the sag as a result of having me sat in it for 10 years!

Did it today to make getting the sump plug undone easier

The standard reply.

On the Snap On van yesterday they are doing a Blue Point one but
I think it was over 2 tonne, similar design to the above but a lot lot
bigger and about £199.

It's the quick lift bit that appeals to me.

I love working on my car but it's a ball ache having to drive it onto paving slabs first.

30 half turns with the scissor jack, then I can get the trolley jack underneath.

My Halfords jack is leaking oil, which can't be good. So I really do need to get a new one.
