Two weeks to touchdown
Ferry has just informed me that my Nurb S2K will be in his dealership in less than 2 weeks. I am planning to travel to Rotterdam and pick the car up myself so I need some advice of those of you who have gone this route before:
1) How did you get the car back? Ferry from Holland or by the Chunnel - I assume the Chunnel has more room?
2) Did you arrange insurance for the period from collection until registration in the UK? If so who did you go through? I understand it can be difficult getting your usual insurance company to cover the pre UK registration period.
3) Which is better Clifford Concept 600 or Clifford Concept 300 & tracker?
Thanks for the help. If all goes according to plan I will have put close to the VTEC run in mileage on by the time I get home, so then it will be time to play.

Sorry this isn't going to answer any of your questions, Jonners, but .... are you getting the hardtop with it? I've got a Nurb S2k waiting in Glasgow and won't get it till October 15th
(Gotta wait for finances to finish on my current car!)
It seems the Nurb blue is quite rare - I'd be interested in a seeing a photo to remind me what's in store.
Don't put your car on the ferry - I once had a Toyota written off on a North Sea ferry. It's a long story

Jonners,
Can't help on the insurance front as my car is a UK car.
However, on the alarm front......
I have a Clifford Concept 600 alarm & a Tracker system.
The reason for this is because my previous car was stolen, and I was determined to make it difficult as possible for the thieves. I don't want my S to disappear !!!!
I think an alarm is essential, whilst the Tracker is for piece of mind.
If you need any further info, let me know.
Good Luck & Congratulations on your impending arrival.

collected mine at the end of June from Ferry, we did want to drive it back to the Tunnel and enjoy the experience however getting fully comp insurance seemed impossible so we elected to go Hook to Harwich, on the HSS ferry

I picked mine up from Ferry in June.
We came back through the Tunnel, which was expensive but less chance of getting any scratches.
We also took out third party insurance through Ferry for the journey back. This was very expensive (about
