Ive seen these described as bodering on dangerous by good drivers in magazine tests as they adjust the amount of steering input and hence the driver has reduced feel. Personally I'd avoid it like the plague for the parts and insurance reasons. Nice steering wheel though.

They tested the Type V along with the standard version on one of the Best Motoring vids. The type V lapped exactly 1 second slower! Thumbs down from the BM crew!

to kick off..it's a least 1grand more expensive on the list price..

the steering gear ratio is adjusted not only on speed but on yaw of the car, ideally giving you a fast steering response in hairpins where you want to minimise turns lock to lock.

however it really depends on the driver capability if it is actually useful...my dealer explained it is too weird feeling if you are normally using a regular steering system. Similarly left foot braking is a weird feeling..but if practised as your normal driving style {like Finns} it's more effective than just right foot.

I don't think its actually going to help me as i'm no Michael Schumacher! I'm looking at a nice 51 plate Black/Black one tomorrow after a golf match.

Will be taking the clubs with me as the most important thing about the whole car is that me clubs fit in it!!

That why I got the S2000 instead of a TT Roadster or a Boxster, much less an Elise. I hate to imagine your clubs having to ride with you in the passenger seat, especially after a muddy winter round.

Which club do you play for?
