Default Unbelivable!

Over the weekend some b*****d left a lit cigarette on the roof of my car, leaving a 1 inch burn/melt!!!! It wasn't stubbed out or anything, just left lying there. I guess it could have come from a passing car just tossing it out of the window, but I'm not convinced that's what happened.

Does anyone know if it's possible to repair this so it doesn't notice? I don't think it's gone right through and doesn't seem to be leaking, but I guess that point will be weakened.

Otherwise I will be getting this fixed under my insurance and I guess it'll be a new roof.

If that's the case, is there any protectant that could prevent this from happening again or would a Mohair roof offer more protection from this kind of damage? I doubt that would melt but I suppose it could burst into flame.

Just rang the local SMART chap. He said it wouldn't be possible, they can do seats and stuff but it wouldn't work on a soft top...

To smoke is be increasingly regarded as a filthy chav.

Bring on the ban on smoking in public places next summer. About bloody time.

Feel for you mate.

Thanks! - yet again a bigotted generalization

I enjoy the odd cigarette with consideration for others when I do, so but that makes me scum?

As for the real reason for the post. Good luck I feel for you mate hope you get it fixed soon.

As to the sources of silly comments next time a someone smashes a beer bottle on someones car lets ban drinking and attack that as a habit/pleasure/social no no shall we?

Without a doubt whoever did this to you car was scum but not everyone who smoke is.

OPINIONS ARE LIKE FARTS - EVERYONE LIKES THEIR OWN
