Default Underseal coming off rear wheel arches

I was cleaning the car last night and noticed that the underseal was flaking off the rear wheel arches of my car (just over 2 yrs old, 28k miles) exposing what looks like bare metal seams (they cant be as they are not rusting!).....has anyone else noticed this happening on theirs????

I am not especially perturbed by this as I am sure a the warranty will sort out a new coat of underseal, just curious if this is a one off or a more widespread problem (you have to be slightly anal to be sponging the wheelarches clean to even notice this )

Not present on mine @ 18 months. My defence is I was sponging off to see what damage had been done to the deflectors by that nasty little device they have at the Robin Hood Gate of Richmond Park
