Uprated cams- Whose interested?
As the title suggests I have been in discussions with Piper re S2000 cams, this is proper tuning never mind Induction kits etc
Cost for 1 pair of billet ones are less than toda ones, I am willing to use my car for the development work to see gains etc and how for you can go with the std pistons (albeit possibly machining them)
However the more people are interested the cheaper they get..
Bear in mind as a minimum you are looking at a piggy back ECU, ideally a fully standalone one but if your looking for really tangible BHP gains this in about the only way- for you info my Jenvey ITB's gave me a peak gain or about 6bhp
Big in the midrange though
Pm or reply on here if your interested
Cheers

There aint cheap horsepower on this car.....
I got lots of torque from the throttle bodies, however if the think the cams are expensive i wont even mention how much they cost

cams on their own shouldnt be too pricey, its the ecu, throttle bodies, exhaust headers, remapping and fitting it all that'll cost a lot.
How much do you expect to gain over standard , 30bhp? maybe a touch more.
Are you getting rid of the vtec ,and just going for a single set of cams (a la normal engine), or going for 'two sets' of cams as per vtec.

Not sure on the power as will need to get proved on my car..
Would stick with the vtec system certainly initially although i might look to go 1 cam in the future although tbh i doubt it, VTEC killers for a road car would be overkill imo!

So will you replace both sets of cams? or just the VTEC ones? Presumably it's better to replace both - to improve low down as well as smoothing the transition onto proper race cams at higher revs?

the smaller and bigger cam lobes are on the same shaft...
so naturally all are changed when a shaft is changed.
