Default Very Noisy Cabin!

I need some help from the experts on the board!

I have recently noticed a lot of cabin noise whilst driving on the motorway. It would appear that my two roof locks have become loose and subsequently the seal is letting air into the cabin when driving at speed.

It looks to me as though the catches on each side of the windscreen frame have become worn and that the (hook) lock assembly can't close that tightly any longer.

What I would like know is there a common part/s that needs to be replaced and if so what is the rough cost? I have tried to search the UK forum for roof catches etc (& FAQ section) but the search failed to complete. When I called my local Honda dealer they gave me a long list of parts that I might need........

Thanks.

K

Someone posted a similar issue recently which was resolved by using clear plastic pipe over the hooks to give a tighter seal - hope this helps!

Or even some black sticky tape, wrapped around the hook.

Yeah this was a slight problem for me, see

https://www.s2ki.com/forums/index.php?showt...75&hl=49p+fixes

worked for me, and by the way . . . .I'm out of warranty!

There was also thread about being able to adujust the catches so they pull the roof in tighter, try another search on leaking roofs as thats how I came across it

Is it still in warantee?

There is a technical builtin about this I think. Have a look on the home page for a link to them.
