And me. It's normally followed by "christ, what was that?!". Then seconds later you realise it's because you gunned it from cold, and Honda know best.

Is it not just common sense that you wait a little while until the car is not running on its cold cycle until you start to try and rev it hard.

I wait at least for the first 5 mins to every journey before taking the car above 3,500 rpm.

You have to remember the vast amount of people in the world who work on the "Petrol goes here, key goes here. What else is there to care about?" principal.

I guess we take it for granted that mechanical sympathy or knowledge is something people have but it isn't.

One of the most intelligent people I know doesn't know how to change a wheel. Didn't even know he had a spare.

Some people just know stuff that other people don't. That's life.
