Water in the Boot

Default Water in the Boot

Hi, Has anyone else found a puddle of water at the base of their boot I am having trouble finding where its coming from...help please...thanks

Yeah I have a puddle. Do a search, there is a vent by the numberplate. I understand the vent sags over time and leaks so you need bathroom sealer on it. Easy job - just havent got round to it yet.

There is another possible cause, there are drainage tubes that water from the roof leads to and these can crack. The water then runs down the suspension mountings (no problem) and run into the boot.

hmm. well I have just done the vent and will see how it goes, i used clear silicon that I used on the edges of the bathroom floor. went on well.

Assuming it is that black bit, was the only vent thing i could find!???

excellent pic, now I know where to try first with the silicone..cheers, dont suppose you happen to know if anyone does a wind deflector in the UK...I have seen them in the States....my misses is moaning about her bad hair days because i drive everywhere with the roof down...
