As some of you know I had some issues in France last week that turned out to be the MAP sensor.
It appears that the life expectance is shortened by my use of water/meth. I run a 4 bar Hondata sensor and had the OEM one in the car but because of the tune was no use.

So for the meth heads on here, carry a spare sensor to avoid the grief I had.

On another note the breakdown cover provided from Keith Michaels did not cover any modified parts on my car, despite being insured on a modified car policy by Keith Michaels!

I've heard the TPS doesn't like meth either.

I've just bought a full blown TB and I think I read somewhere it is good at fighting the effects of meth.

Are you on a 50/50 mix Lloyd ?

If you have a too concentrated mixture it can accelerate wear.

The breakdown/insurance thing sounds about right! What a bunch of a-holes!

Yes a 50/50 mix, and in all honesty the MAP sensor is a few years old. But I will be carrying a spare from now on.

I am just awaiting a response from Keith Michaels regarding the breakdown cover they sold me.

No I was lucky that I could limp along with the faulty map sensor and got to my parents, then had a new one shipped out from the UK.
