I think the mugen isn't a bad compromise.. of weight saving and favourable noise without being loud,.

Don't forget carbon body panels. Bonnet and boot are easy enough to do. I guess you can get carbon front wings for teh S, not that I've ever seen any for sale.

didn't think the boot was..

you could revert the car to having plastic rear window.. bound to be lighter than that chink of glass they fitted after MY01

You won't save anything on the bonnet unless you go for a good quality replacement like the Mugen bonnet.

Changing the boot saves ~ 15lbs.

Wheels are another good one, some nice lightweight ones will make a difference.

You won't save much weight on the wheels.

You can save a lot of weight on changing the brakes and suspension
