Default Well here's a muddle

Hmmm.

My girlfriend and I both have (and need) cars. The management company where we live has recently changed and they say they will now be enforcing the 1-space per apartment rule, and any residents using the visitor spaces will be fined.

To make matters worse, I'm about to start a new job with a company car.

So - it looks like I'll either have to sell the S, or accept that it'll have to live at my parents' and be for weekends only (not very convenient, though, as it'll be 100 miles away)

I've been looking around for garages or parking spaces for rent in Hertford but it doesn't seem to be something that there's much provision for around here!

I don't want to get rid!

Are there any residents there who don't own a car and would let you use/rent there space? I take it there's no off street parking anywhere close to leave the GF's car? Nightmare situation to be in though

Hi Keith,

If it really comes to a crunch, you can park it on my drive in Welwyn Garden City for a short period whilst you make alternative arrangements.

If that would help PM me!

Dennis.

How about letting Vicks have the S and getting rid of her Euro box? Let's face it mate, she's nearly as quick as you in it anyway Failing that, have you thought about trying to keep it in the works car park? It's frowned upon at our place, but I know a few folks do it discretely.

This is not always down the developers, it's usually down to the councils. No doubt part of a grand strategy for us to embrace the fine example of an integrated public transport system we have....

As usual, this fails in reality and just causes parking chaos. Most households have a minimum of two cars. I am single, and have two cars and a motorbike. I'm sure the council transport board would like me flogged for my capitalist decadence.

It's the interfering busybody polticiunts as much as the developers. Only permitting one space per ppty is statist shit-headedness. The obsession with cramming in flats all over the place made it worse.

There might be the possibility of letting part of an industrial unit in Dicker Mill, but it's probably a few months away...

If your parking is in an under ground car park then they won't be able to tow it onto a recovery truck and if you lower it enough they won't be able to clamp it
