Default Weybridge Honda

Thanks to Ian's (shopman) advising me to use them when I first got my car, I've had just over 2 years of being well looked after when it comes to warranty claims and servicing (which has has been frequent due to me covering over 36k miles in that time).

Having had bad experiences at both Guildford and Chiswick, it's really refreshing to have a garage that goes out of their way to keep you happy. For example, my car was in a couple of weeks ago for a service, so I dropped it off at 7.30am and asked the lady behind the counter if I'd be able to discuss a roof (my 4th one)and wheelcap warranty claim with the service manager when I come back to collect the car later in the day. Instead she called out the Service Manager and he said he was happy to look over my car immediately so that we could get it processed as quickly as possible.

By the time I'd come back to collect my car that afternoon he had taken all the photos, written the report and had it all sent off to Honda. Within a few days he called back to say the claim had been approved and asked when I wanted to book the car in for the work. So yesterday the car went in at 7.30, the Service Manager was there to meet me, let me know how long it would take and sent me on my way in a brand new loan car.

Seriously impressed.

Now, compare that to Chiswick Honda (who put my last couple of hoods on). Their Service Manager did his best to try and wriggle out of replacing it (even though it had two holes in the vinyl) and when they did admit there was an issue proceeded to mash up a lot of my interior plastics, break the roll hoops, and put it on really loose. Anyway, long story short (there's a thread on it the full story on here) they tried to claim I did all the damage, only gave me a loan car after I demanded one, eventually tried fitted another roof (a little better that time), and then told me that this sort of problem was so rare it would near wear the hood like that in the future. Basically a battle from start to finish, with lots of poor workmanship and a general vibe that they couldn't give a toss about your car.

Rock on Weybridge!

Dan

That's great news Dan, I'm glad you decided to use them.
I have always found their service and attitude nothing less than perfect, not one problem, although they are always puzzled when I tell them not to wash it after a service

Hmm, that's only 20 mins away, looks like I found a dealer I could trust for my upcoming service

Oh, you've had problems with Guildford have you?

I've had my car serviced twice there - never had any big issues for them to deal with to be fair, (although they've dealt with small ones very well) - but i've always found them pretty good.

I went to Guildford to test drive the new Civic Type-R a few years ago (which I thought was rubbish) and after I got back to the garage the sales lady asked if I wanted to test drive an S2000. I hadn't even considered the S, but thought what the hell and took it out for a quick drive.

By the time I got back I was in love with the car, so I sat down with the sales lady and we dicussed my options. To cut a long boring story short, she tried to sell me a pre-registered S2000 Roadster from the showroom for £30k, but I decided I would go home and have a think about it instead of committing there and then. And whilst I was at home discovered the same car was on Guildford Honda's website for £26k! Needless to say I was a little annoyed they had tried to rip me off, so I rang them up and asked them what they were playing at, and was met with lots of stuttering apologies and suggestions of misunderstandings.

I ended up going through Bob Gerard, who were brilliant.

Guildford Honda might be really good, but I'm afraid I won't use a garage who tries to rip people off so blatantly.

Chiswick Honda ripped me off recently. I paid a premium price for the 4 piece mats set. This is included the S2k members' discount! I wont be going back to them. My S is due for a service I think I will give the guys at Weybridge a shout. Thanks for the tip

I hope Chiswick Honda sit up and take note. There have been quite a few negative posts in these forums about them and they really do need to revisit the "Customer Service for Dummies" handbook.

This is exactly what happened to me, except they had a 2nd hand S in the showroom, which I bought. Also it was in Sussex.

Morning all,

I'm pleased to report that last night I dropped the Jazz* back and collected my freshly fixed car. It's been a bit dark to do a full inspection, but from what I can tell it appears they've done a really good job.

The tention in the striker/catches is much better than it was previously, the whole roof appears to be on much tighter too with less give in the area behind the door windows, and the edges above the door handle are very neat and tidy. A massive improvement over Chiswick's 'cowboy' effort previously

Also, it has been pissing down with rain from when I collected it, right through till now, so it has definitely passed the leak test

Great garage. I highly recommend using them if they're local to you.

Dan

*over the course of approximately 400 miles, I got an average of 52mpg. I was impressed.

The receptionist at Crawley Honda (formerly Southern Counties Honda) replied "It's funny but none of you S owners want your cars washed" after I had declined a post service wash.

I must admit I ws impressed with the return fuel figures on the Jizz I borrowed too and it drove well for a small car but it really does have 'Blue Rinse Brigade' stamped all over it
