Default Whats needed to make the headlight washers work?

Hi

Does anyone know what I need to make my headlight washer jets squirt?

The JDM doesn't have these but it needs doing just for SVA! I have got the actual washer jets mounted on the bumper but I'm not sure what else I need to fit

I'm hoping to find the stuff I need at a scrappers (Is it the whole washer bottle I need from the UK car & does it have 2 motors one for the windows, one for the headlights?!) finally does anyone on here happen the have this stuff lying around to sell it to me? as know most people end up disconnecting them anyway.

Cheers
Andy

Don't see why you need those for sva, most modern production cars don't have them, only the more expensive models tend to have them.

if you need to run the set up without using standard uk parts it's not too difficult.
you need to tap into the live feed to the exisiting washer motor and run this to the new washer motor (depending where you mount it) and then just an earth to the other motor terminal. other than connecting up the washer jets to the bottle that's about it.
it would be a lot easier to use uk spec bits but if not just rig up an additional bottle and motor.

I guess you know quite a few JDM's have got through the SVA without this mod.. I had looked at doing it.. but seemed quite an extensive story - and it was never clear to me if there was one or two pumps.

Why you want to fit the water system for Andrew?
You can just modify the bulbs to h4 ones and it'll pass (Hopefully). But... It is so much headache Taking the bumper off, modifying the bulbs, putting the bumper back on, driving to mot test centre to get aim checked, then repeat until it is right!

That is what mine failed on, the headlamp aim was too low, but due to the bulbs being modified I have to angle them by hand
Plus I was told that after I modifed my bulbs, the light that came out was like two torches, when it is supposed to be a horizionatal line of light coming from each headlamp.

Oh well, booking my test in a few weeks.

Let me know how you get on?

Got everything else done?

Thanks guys,
I'd prefer not to hook the washer jets up if I don't have to(think they are a waste of time anyway!), I think it depends on the model report you get and the tester on the day as to if it matters or not!

I'll have a chat with my mate whos doing it for me and see what he thinks, maybe I will put it in for the test without the washers working and see what happens?! I'm changing the bulbs from HIDs anyway (my mate seemed to think it was H7 bulbs he should use?!)

Any more info would be appreciated if anyone knows any differently

Ta.
