Now I've four brand spanking new OEM wheels and caps on \o/ are there any things I can do to try and prolong their life and protect from the corrosion monster?

Polish and wax the wheels mate. This will keep them in better condition for longer, plus when it comes to cleaning the wheels its alot quicker, just use car shampoo, dont use wheel cleaner as it will strip the polish/wax off.

get them powder coated with a decent layer of paint. Otherwise they will just corrode again!

You need to get them off to do it properly Chris? Time to buy axle stands I guess.

Shoddy phone pic of stupidly shiny new wheels

BLING BLING!!!

Just get plenty of polish on them and clean the salt and grime off etc. regularly, Definitely do not powder coat them!!! What a waste that would be!! make sure and pay particular attention to cleaning around the edges of the centre caps as I believe this is wear the salt etc. builds up and corrodes the centre caps so quickly

Store them in a temperature and climate controlled room, after sterilizing them. Buy some old knackered ones and run them
