Well it's head must have been full of lead or something.
Thats a point actually Euan, did the dealer bumper come prepainted as the bodyshop guy wasn't too sure

I'm surprised it caused that much damage
They're toughter than they look. I hit one in my old Beemer at 90(kph) on the M11. Smashed an undertray, cracked the bumper and tore off the external temp sensor - expensive.

I also got one in the wife's RAV4 though - satisfying thud and not a mark on the car.

I got a pigeon in my old Clio 16V once, it just flew straight into the top of the windscreen. For some reason as it flew straight towards my car I ducked!!!

I looked in my rear view mirror to see feathers every where. really was like some thing out of a comedy show. When I got home I found a few feathers still under the window seal(nice!!!).... Bloody flying rats!
