Why Did You Buy Another S2000?
Hi all,
Im going to put up my s2k and toyota celica up for sale very soon, and buy a new car.
Im thinking of buying another S2k, but is that boring! having the same car, again...
Why did those who have done just to, do so?
Ideally I'd love a Elise 111r, however, i've been doing 20k a year over the past two years, and this in an elise, would kill its resale value.
I only want the one car now also, so an elise just isn't practical!
Ive looked at maybe getting a boxter s, but apparently theres a new one out in 2012 and i dont want the old one!
Z4's are just to expensive...
So im back to another s2k.
On another note, I've never done a part-ex on a car. Ive been told that you get crap prices, this true, should i sell privately?

I like to chop and change, but had unfinished business with the S2000.
Maybe try a few test drives in other things to make sure you don't want something else.
20k a year in an S, or most cars, will kill it's value. I'm not sure i'd like to do that mileage in an S2000 though!

Who says an Elise aint practical?
I did 35k miles in my S1 and sold it for the same price I bought it for 18 months later.
Avge 38-40mpg.
I miss it every day.

Tried a few of the (updated) "competition" and still preferred the S - Boxster still too expensive.
Had I actually driven an MY04 before PXing my worn out MY02 for an MY05, I might not have been so keen, and I rarely use it these days.
Still, it is cheap to run, still looks good, and is quite fun to drive if I haven't been on the bike for a few months.

A boxster S is the car to be in for mileage, comfortable and very solid.
The problem is the MPG, maybe a 2.7 is better for the pocket and still torquey enough.
Expect to pay worund 17500 for a 2.7 05/06 model and 2-3k more for an S.
Good luck.
