Well, I could write a small essay on this topic but I'll just direct you to the following thread, it's a bit of a horror story of my windscreen replacement saga but well worth reading through so you know what to look out for.

https://www.s2ki.com/s2000/topic/987583-new-windscreen/

Long story short, my advice is:
- OEM. OEM. OEM. It will be a struggle if you want it done on your insurance but it's the only way it'll work.
- Check mirror boss, as the aftermarket ones are the wrong shape. Again, go OEM.
- Avoid Auto Windscreens like the plague. Take it to a local, recommended fitter. Watch them like a hawk.
- Do not settle for a half-arsed job. Rubber surround in particular - OEM is the only one that will fit properly. Get them to redo it as many times as necessary until they get it looking good or they give up and go OEM.
- Good luck!

That is a horror story indeed. It's autoglass with my insurer, i'm going to wait until the weather gets better as it's not badly cracked at the moment but i'll go back to this thread to remind myself nearer the time.

Autoglass did my last 'S' windscreen and it cost me £50 excess on my insurance.

They seemed to do really pro job on a Sunday morning in my own garage at home.

Then came the rear view mirror problem. They ended up clagging it on with putty.

Make sure your Autglass depot know about the S2000 mirror problem an get them to guarrantee the fitment BEFORE they start to remove your screen!!!
