Windscreen washer pump replacement DIY guide
#11
Yes, I think people have had that - might be worth following the howto and checking for the blockage - if you pull the pump then I'm sure it'll spit out what is blocking it. The other option might be to run some warm water through the system to see if that clears it.

I've just fitted one of these replacement washer pumps to my S. If you fit one and have trouble getting it to seal without leaking in the washer bottle you might have to grind 2mm or so off the top of the new pump. This is because the body length on these is around 2mm longer than the OEM pump which causes them to fit slightly off centre to the hole in the bottle when fitted.

VERY handy, thank you. Will be emptying my washer bottle shortly. Water must have been in there for the last 7 years, it stinks SO bad! I don't use the water either, as have lights on all the time, so then the car would get totally soaked... and you simply cannot have water marks on your car. (Carrying enough quick detailer and glass cleaner about anyway)

Sorry to resurrect and old thread but had anyone had to replace their windscreen washer motor recently and if so where did you get it from as I'm struggling to find anything similar to the 1st post by Wobbly on Amazon as suggested?
