Wishbones and geometry question
Hi there,
Newbie here, now I did a quick search but haven't found what I'm looking for.
my question is- I'm getting my lower front wishbones replaced, does this mean I need to get my geometry checked/adjusted?
Cheers!

Can I ask... why are you replacing the wishbones?
I'm guessing you'll need the geo done.
New wishbones will mean new bushes which will probably mean a degree or two of change when you put the bolts back in - even if you mark them before you remove them?

But, you can buy aftermarket bushes.
So it might be cheaper to get the old wishbones taken off, get the old bushes burned/cut out, replace with aftermarket bushes and then get the geo done at the same time.
I'm sure I've got that slightly wrong in some respect, no doubt someone will correct me soon.
Thanks for the replies, I got new wishbones because the rear bushes failed the MOT and they were not available separately. At that time I didn't know it was possible to get them cut out, so... new wishbones.
Next question, where in or near Aberdeen could I get the geometry done?
All this for two f******g bits of rubber- honestly!

So, is it just standard wheel alignment that's required? If so, no probs.
I thought there was maybe more to it.
I already got the wishbones, I got them from Ireland via a 'source' which saved me a bit, but still cost a fair bit I have to say.

There’s also something called Castor which is something to do with the angle of steering in relation to the phase of the moon.
It needs specialist equipment and experience to do.
Take a look in the FAQ up the top, it’s explained much better.
