Default Worn soft top 'clips'

Has anyone any experience in replacing the 'clips' that attach the soft top to the windscreen frame. I don't know what to call the bits, but the thingies actually on the frame that the hooks on the top catch on to are worn so it doesn't close tightly - result wind noise when up (rare occasion ).

There is a service bulletin on library but is incomplete and seem to suggest replacing them with hard top not soft top bits????

I just phoned the dealer and described the bits. They got them in in a couple of days

Had two sets replaced under warranty - its an easy claim - and most dealers will be willing to do it.

not on a jap import thou i guess........

Looking more long-term.....you should see what it is thats causing the looseness. There's no argument that the clips are crap and rattle around loads, but it is the "strikers" that they attach to that wear down, so even if you replace the clips, 6 months down the line this will happen again.

I am in talks with the dealer at the moment to replace the actual fixed part on the frame where the hook attaches as mine have eroded quite substantially - hence the loose roof and wind noise.
